Fresh and Young Brains Development Initiative gives sub-grant to 15 young farmers.

A Non Governmental Organisation “Fresh and Young Brains Development Initiative” has given sub-grant to 15 young farmers in the country to boost food production.

At the event in Abuja,the founder of the NGO Barrister Nkiruka Nnaemego said the grant would help boost Agriculture and eradicate unemployment.

Nnaemego noted that the initiative was an approach to promote youth-led farms and agricultural businesses and to highlight the benefits of farming for sustainable youth development and livelihood.

She called on relevant stakeholders to create more platforms for youths for them to appreciate the role of agriculture in nation building

Director Gender and Youth Agricultural Research Counsel Mrs Deborah Ogdede, called on Nigerian youths to engage in Research to boost agricultural knowledge.

Some of the participate who received grant of 100 thousand and 80 thousand promised to make judicious use of the funds.
