Federal Lawmaker Appeals For Rehabilitation Of Major Roads In Kogi State

The Federal Lawmaker Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro constituency of Kogi State, Alhaji Hassan Omale has appealed to the Federal Government for the rehabilitation of major roads linking Kogi East to other parts of the country.

Alhaji Omale, who made the appeal while speaking with Kapital FM in Abuja, explained that the deplorable condition of major roads in Kogi East has made life unbearable for commuters.

According to Alhaji Omale, poor condition of roads has been responsible for increase in transportation fare in the area.

Kapital FM correspondent James Itodo reports that the House of Representatives member also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint a minister to represent Kogi state in the federal Executive Council.

Alhaji Omale maintained that lack of a ministerial appointee from Kogi in the Federal Executive to replace late James Ocholi could be responsible for the under-development of the state.
