FCTA Converts Zuba Hospital To Isolation Center
.In a bid to contain the Spread of Coronavirus in the territory, the FCT Administration has said Zuba General Hospital would be converted into an Isolation and Treatment Center to accommodate more patients should the need arise.
The FCT Minister Malam Muhammad Bello who stated this at a media parley in Abuja, also directed that all places of worship remained closed indefinitely, including all social and event centers.
The FCT Minister who maintained that the Administration would not allow any individual to endanger the collective existence of FCT residents, enjoined all to comply with social distance rules.
Malam Bello who emphasized the need for self discipline, encouraged all residents to imbibe the culture of proper hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.
The FCT Administration also announced the commencement of the enforcement of “stay at home policy” for all its civil servants on grade 1 to 12 with effect from 24 March 2020.
The Minister used the medium to call on NGOs’, Organizations and individuals that desired to provide support to fight against COVID 19, to send such items to the office of the Minister of State for FCT.
So far, FCT has recorded Seven confirmed cases and one fatality.
