FCT: FRSC Deploys Over 2,000 Personnel, Cautions Motorists Against Reckless Driving During Sallah

FCT Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC says over Two Thousand Personnel have been deployed for effective traffic control during the Sallah celebration.

FCT FRSC Sector Commander Mr. Samuel Ochi Who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja said the personnel were mobilsed for a twenty-four special Sallah operation at some critical areas across the territory.

Mr. Samuel Ochi explained that HELP AREAS have also been established along ZUBA-GWAGWALADA- ABAJI-LOKOJA Highway to respond to emergency cases during the festival.

According to the Sector Commander, public enlightenment programmes have Commenced at all major motor parks to sensitise Motorists on the danger of overloading, while Breathalysers have been deployed to check intake of alcoholic beverages by drivers.

Mr. Samuel Ochi however appealed to road users to complement the efforts of marshals deployed to the four main entrance and exit points and avoid reckless driving.

He urged road users to call FRSC Toll Free Number 122 for a prompt response during emergencies as the commission was working with security agencies for the safety of road users in the Six Area Councils of the Territory.
