Emir Of Agaie Cautions District Heads Against Accommodation Of Strange Faces
The Emir of Agaie in Niger State, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu has called on District Heads to desist from unnecessary accommodation of strange faces in their domains.
He made the call at a traditional event to mark the end of eid el fitr in the area.
Alhaji Nuhu stressed the need for district heads to avoid unnecessary accommodating of strangers to check movements of criminal elements.
The Monarch called for adequate profiling of strangers to ascertain their true identity and occupation.
He pointed out that security is everyone’s business.
Alhaji Nuhu also enjoined the people to accord priority to agriculture and avoid falling of trees to avert environmental dangers.
The Acting Chairman of Agaie, Mallam Etsu Abubakar Sadiq advocated a comprehensive development plan for the area.
He appealed to parents to strictly monitor their children to prevent them from keeping bad company.
An expatriate residing in the community, Mr.Locani Batista said the rich culture of the people is capable of attracting foreign investments.
The event was attended by traditional rulers, political office holders and people of other cultures from different parts of the country.
It featured horse riding and traditional homage paying of the emir to the head of the area council.
The traditional ceremony which end the festival is popularly known as awan Bariki.
