Elections: FRSC Unveils ‘Situation Room’ To Track Patrol Vehicles

The Federal Road safety commission FRSC, has unveiled a situation room in Abuja to monitor and track all its patrol vehicles engaged by the Independent National Electoral Commission. INEC in carrying electoral materials for Saturday’s presidential and national Assembly elections.
Conducting journalists round the facilities, FRSC Corps Marshall Dr Boboye Oyeyemi explained that the situation room would be operational 24 hours during the election period.
Dr oyeyemi said the room would also provide opportunity for the public to provide information through toll number 122 on FRSC personnel and vehicles in case of emergency across the country.
According to him trained nineteen thousand officers and men deployed for elections duty are already with INEC at locations across the 707 local government areas.
The FRSC boss however appealed to officers to be efficient in their duty
and avoid partisan politics
FRSC had inspected and certified all the vehicles provided to INEC by the National union of road transport workers for the transportation of electoral materials.
