Over five thousand security personnel drawn from the police, civil Defence and Road Safety Corps have been deployed to strategic locations across Nasarawa State to ensure a hitch free Eid el Kabir celebration.
The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Yahaya Bello said policemen in plain clothes and mobile police unit have embarked on vehicular patrols along major roads and crime prone communities to forestall any break down of law and order.
Similarly, the State Commandant of NSCDC,Mahmoud Fari said men of the corps would be deployed to Eids prayer grounds and other public places to prevent miscreants taking advantage of the festive period.
On her part, the state Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs Faustina Alegbe said a mobile court has been set up to prosecute traffic offenders during and after the festive period.
The heads of security agencies in the state called on residents to celebrate the Sallah peacefully and report any suspicious movements of individuals or groups to the nearest security agency for prompt action.
