Don’t Mislead Your Followers, Clergy Advises Religious Leaders
Religious leaders have been urged to lead their followers with the fear of God to foster unity in the country.
The Chairman, Regional Church Council of Christ in Nations Karu FCT Reverend Wantunghun Mureng gave the advice at inauguration of Local Church Council kabayi mararaba in Nasarawa state.
Reverend Mureng who said Nigerians believe in their religious leaders advised them not to mislead their followers through their preaching’s.
“A leader especially religious leaders should ensure that their followers do the right, they should sensitized and educate them in making the right choice. “every one in places of authority in this country is a leader, any leader who ties a particular group for his own selfish interests is not worth to be a leader, We hope to have good leaders after the election. ”
Reverend Mureng further appealed to Nigerians to vote leaders with integrity in the forth coming election and desist from act inimical to the progress of the nation.
In a sermon at the occasion, Reverend Jacob Mallau enjoined Christians to live a life worthy of emulation.
He further charged members to work together as one body of Christ to ensure the growth of the church to the glory of God.
In a remark, the leading pastor COCIN Kabayi reverend David Werner urged Nigerians to always pray for their leaders for God’s direction to pilot the affairs of the nation.
