
DG NIHSA, Dr. Beckley Highlights Dangers Of Living In Flood Prone Areas (Audio)

Early in the week tragedy struck in Suleja, Niger State as about eighteen people lost their lives in a flood that ravaged four communities after a heavy downpour that started in the early hours of Sunday.
The affected villages include Hi, Bakin-Iku, and Chachania.
However, as part of social responsibility to ensure that Nigerians are updated on issues affecting the populace, the Director General, Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency NIHSA, Doctor Moses Beckley in an interview with Radio Nigeria speaks on issues bothering on natural disaster.
He also advised people who live in flood prone areas to vacate such places to cushion the effects of floods.
