Davido Becomes First Nigerian To Win BET Best International Act Award

One of Nigeria’s most celebrated music acts, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has won the BET Best International Act Award.

The Nigerian musical superstar won despite being put in a very tough category, with the likes of Cassper Nyovest , Fally Ipupa, J Hus, Tiwa Savage, Stefflon Don and Stormzy.

The highly coveted award was established by Black Entertainment Television to recognize the best in African American culture, maintains an international category for black music from outside the United States.

It was the first time any Nigerian will receive the highly coveted BET award on the main stage, with thousands of celebrities watching and cheering.

Davido used the opportunity to condole with D’banj on the loss of his son and urged more foreign stars to collaborate with Nigerians/Africans, calling out names like J.Cole and Migos.

 Davido has made Nigeria and Africa proud.
