The Nigeria Copyright commission has arrested ten suspected copyright pirates and confiscated over one hundred and thirty pirated Bibles during a raid it carried out in Jos.

Speaking with journalists after the raid, the Deputy Director of the Commission Bauchi office Mr Vincent Oyefeso said they carried out the raid following complaints by the Bible Society of Nigeria.

Mr Oyefeso said the pirated Bibles confiscated include Revised Standard version and the Hausa translation of the King James Version.

Mr Oyefeso said they had difficulties making more arrest because they have a way of networking when they alert their colleagues before the commission gets to them

He however said they now disguise as customers, buy the pirated copies, collect receipts which they use as evidence when they come out for their operations.

Mr Oyefeso said the raid which was carried out at Rwang Pam street, Bukuru, Ahmadu Bello way and Terminus among other areas was in collaboration with the mobile Policemen.
