COVID-19 Lockdown: FRSC Boss Calls For Commitment, Strict Social Distance Enforcement
Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has called on Zonal Commanding Officers across the country to ensure total commitment to the ongoing enforcement on social distancing and restrictions of movement by the federal government to contain the spread of covid-19.
Dr Oyeyemi who made the call during a teleconference with the 12 Commanding Officers and management team said the meeting was to review the performance of the Commission and restrategize on more effective, efficient and result yeilding operational tectics.
He appealed to them to brace up to the present realities by ensuring that Nigerians are made to see the reasons to comply with the NCDC directives..
In a remark, the Zonal Commanding Officer incharge of Kwara,Ekiti and Kogi states Assistant Corps Marshal Amaka Nwaka identified some of the challenges encountered during the operation to include: overloading of vehicles conveying food produce and over speeding as a result of low traffic.
Mrs Nwaka commended the Corps Marshal and the management team for prompt provision of Personal Protectective Equipment to the operatives who are at the fore front of the enforcement.
