Code Red: FRSC Solicits Kapital FM’s Support For Effective Sensitisation
The Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC is seeking the support of Radio Nigeria Kapital FM for effective sensitisation on a special operations ragged “Code Red” to check reckless driving and the assault of its personnel.
The Zonal Commander of FRSC incharge of FCT and Niger state, assistant corps marshal Jonas Agwu sought the collaboration of the station during a visit to the General Manager of Kapital FM Alhaji Mohammed Atta- Kafindagi in Abuja.
Mr Agwu who applauded the role of Radio Nigeria in disseminating information down to the grass roots said that FRSC would deploy some technologies to capture details of traffic offenders for enhanced prosecution.
While condemning the spate of assault and abduction of its personnel in recent time, the zonal commander said the commission was ready to address the concern of residents on traffic jam disobedience to traffic rules by some road users in the territory..
Responding, the General Manager of Kapital FM Alhaji Mohammed Atta- Kafindagi urged the zonal Commander to address indiscriminate parking of Articulated vehicles along Giri – Gwagwalada-Abaji express way.
Alhaji Atta Kafindagi pledged the station’s support to the commission towards ensuring the safety of lives and property on the highway.
