The Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) have demanded Rangers chief executive Christian Chukwu be withdrawn as their representative on the NFF technical committee for his failure to protect a colleague Imama Amapakabo.
Imama was arrested on the request of Rangers over some official properties in his possession several months after his contract was terminated.
In a letter to the NFF general secretary, the NFCA said a decision to demand for Chukwu’s withdrawal was taken at an emergency meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.
They further said Chukwu failed to protect Imama from “injustice and unfair treatment” and this was a breach of the association’s statutes.
The coaches have therefore called on the NFF to drop the former national team coach pending a disciplinary hearing.
Chukwu has already been sanctioned by the League Management Company (LMC) in respect of this issue.
