Clergy Charges Religious Organisations To Shun Sentiment

Nigerians have been called not to desert the ways of the old Christian believers and to worship God in truth and holiness.

The Guest Speaker, at the Jubilee Anniversary of First Baptist Church Nasarawa Reverend Armstrong Ola-Ajayi made the call while delivering a sermon at the occasion in Nasarawa state.

Taking his reading from Act of Apostles chapter thirteen with the topic “The Mark of a Living Church at fifty” Reverend Ola-Ajayi charge religious organisations to shun sentiment in other to move the gospel forward.

He further advise clerics to serve as good role models to the followers which would go a long way in building a great nation.

In an address the Oba Yoruba of Nasarawa Alhaji Bashir Asibatu Yusuf urged political leaders to ensure improved security for all Nigerians.

” The political leaders should not be to far from the electorate, because if they are not close they will not know their problems, sometimes ago you can not travel from Nasarawa to Loko itch-free but for the intervention of stakeholders in the state its far better, i encourage them to do more to overcome all the challenges in the country.”

Also, One of the former leader of the church Mr. Joseph Oloruntoba advised members not to deter in selfless services to God and humanity as this will pave way for peaceful coexistence in the country.

Highlight of the event include prayers for the leadership of the country, for God direction to enable them pilot the affairs of the country effectively.
