Civil Servants Urged To Be Selfless, Committed To Nigerian Project

Civil servants have been urged to remain committed to selfless and efficient service delivery at all cadres, to promote good governance and sustenance of the country’s democracy. 

Acting Director, FCTA Department of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu gave the charged in Abuja, when some Journalists ambushed her at Kaura District Market, with a surprise birthday package.

Dr Jumai Ahmadu who was recently honoured by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, for excellence and forthrightness in service delivery, said good governance could only be achieved when Civil service is properly reformed, with well motivated workers. 

Dr Ahmadu who could not hide her joy and her emotions at the show of love by the journalists, assured that she would make more sacrifices to support the media in promoting the ideals of good governance. 

On his part, Chairman, FCT Ministers Press Corps, Comrade Ikharo Attah who led the ambushment, stressed the need to encourage committed Civil servants that work hard to keep the engine of government running efficiently.

Attah pointed out that the surprise birthday package was a measure to recognize Dr Jumai Ahmadu’s honesty, hardwork and selflessness.
