Aida Benjamin Foundation has Flagged off empowerment programme for youths in Abia State through the CBN -SEEDC program ( South East Entrepreneurship Development Program) .
The program is an initiative of the Central Bank of Nigeria to encourage entrepreneurs and to reduce unemployment in our country and to encourage the youth to go into production which includes poultry business, fishery, rice production, wheat meal production, fashion and designing, ICT, bread making, plantain nursery and flour production.
It’s a 3 months program which includes management courses, mentorship, projection, writing of business plan, internship and they will help them map out financial institutions that will give loans to graduates.
The founder, Mrs Adaku Oseiza while addressing the youths ,encouraged them to take full advantage of the program and be serious with their classes because it’s a starting point that could launch their businesses globally.
“The youths were very happy and classes have commenced already. We also had fun with some of the other youth that came around, dancing competition, feeding , cash gifts to winners.”
“This is our first youth empowerment program and we are on the look out for successful candidates. More to follow.”she added.
