Christain Leaders have been urged to speak the truth without fear towards entrenching good Governance.
President, Christain Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Samson Ayokunle who gave the advice in Abuja during a Special Service to appreciate the Faithfulness of God in the life of the General Overseer of the All Christain Fellowship Mission, Reverend William Okoye.
The president who said many Church leaders have deviated from their callings because of worldly possessions stressed the need for Pastors, evangelists Bishops, and other Men of God to be the light and show the way to the Kingdom of God to those who are in darkness for the country to experience peace and development.
He said the country would not witness transformation until the Ministers of God focus attention on the spiritual growth of their members.
In his sermon, the General Overseer of the Grace of God Mission, Bishop Paul Nwachukwu who expressed concern over the attitude of some Christain leaders who have turned their Churches into entertainment Centers said God would raise other men of God if they refuse to change and preach the undiluted word of God.
Bishop Paul Nwachukwu advised Reverend William Okoye to continue to use His life to alleviate the plight of the masses and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as he celebrates Seventy years on earth.
On his part, a former Minister of Information and Orientation, Professor Jerry Gana also appealed to Church leaders to always remain humble and champion the course of making lives of the downtrodden meaningful.
Professor Jerry Gana however appealed to Nigerian pastors to promote Peaceful coexistence and pray for Divine intervention to the challenges in the country.
While leading a special prayer session, the Senior Pastor of Dunnamis Gospel Center International Dr. Paul Enenche emphasized that God would reward every individual according to His or Her deeds on Earth.
Dr. Enenche assured that the country would be better when leaders and the citizens do the right thing at all times.
He urged Nigerians to depend sorely on God rather than putting their trust in leaders who have placed Political ambition above the well-being of ordinary citizens.
