Army To Restrain Violent Protests, Attacks On Law Abiding Citizens
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters Major General John Enenche said the Armed Forces would not condone violent related protests and increasing attacks on law abiding citizens across the country.
General Enenche who encouraged peaceful citizens to go about their Normal activities emphasized that the military and other security agencies would not allow any attempt to undermine democratic process in the country.
He stated that troops of Operation Sahel Sanity, Accord, Hadarin Daji and the land component of Operation Thunder Strike in the North West arrested some suspected armed bandits, rescued some kidnapped victims and recovered arms and ammunition.
According to the coordinator, troops of Operation Safe Haven and Whirl Stroke conducted major raids to identified bandits camps, arrested some bandits and drug dealers.
He also pointed out that the military embarked on several Civil-Military Cooperation activities on peace talks and medical outreaches.
In the South South zone General Enenche explained that Operation Delta Safe through its subsidiary operations recorded successes with the recovery of illegally refined petroleum products and other items.
