Armed Forces Assures Of Uninterrupted Oxygen Supply To Isolation Centres
The Armed Forces of Nigeria says it has provided an additional isolation centre and is also producing Liquefied Oxygen at full capacity for deployment to isolation centres across the country.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operation Defence Headquarters Major General John Enenche who stated this during a media briefing in Abuja said it was part of the military high command’s efforts at addressing the Covid-19.
General Enenche explained that the additional centre at the Nigerian Navy Hospital in Lagos would complement the existing seventeen centres.
He also stated that the Armed Forces had commenced the training of Medical personnel to help in the fight against Covid-19 Pandemic.
Major General Enenche also explained that the Nigerian Airforce Liquefied Oxygen plant at the Airforce base in Yola would produce pure Liquefied Oxygen to support isolation centres in the country.
In another development the coordinator pointed out that the military was committed to the protection of the nation’s economic asserts and infrastructure through its various operations.
General Enenche maintained that the Kinetic military operations in the North East through the collaboration of hunters and other Nigerians was yeilding results.
On the deployment of military officers, the coordinator said it was an administrative procedure of the services.
