Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Nasarawa state Mr Labaran Maku has promised to end poverty if elected governor of the state in twenty nineteen elections.
Mr Maku stated this while addressing supporters of APGA who paid him a Christmas visit in his country home Wakama, Nasarawa State.
According to Mr Maku, the poverty level of Nasarawa State is on the rise due to poor economic policies and lack of visionary leadership, pledging to reverse the trend.
He said that the time has come for the people to take their destiny in their hands by electing leaders whose visions are focused on reviving the economy and youth empowerment.
Mr Maku called on the people to take critical assessments of all the candidates at all levels and their plans to enable them to make informed choice of who to represent them regardless of political parties.
The APGA Governorship candidate noted that he had articulated an action plan based on three pronged approach which include economic empowerment, security and mineral exploitation.
The Former Minister of Information also called on youths to reject politicians who lure them into consumption of illicit drugs to foment trouble during and after the elections.
