ALLEGED MASTERMIND OF NYANYA BOMB BLAST, TO BE TRIED IN CAMERA
Justice Ahmed Mohammed who gave the order also allowed the prosecutors to use aliases for the defense witnesses.
The Director of Prosecution, Musa Din also wanted the court to allow the witnesses be masked to prevent a breach of their personal safety.
The defense lawyers did not oppose a camera trial, they however opposed the application for the witnesses to be masked on the ground saying it is alien to Nigerian laws and it also violates the rights of the accused person to fair hearing.
Justice Mohammed while granting other prayers which bothered on witnesses protection rejected an application to be masked, added that the accused lawyers and selected journalists screened by the court be allowed access to the trial and adjourned the case to second April for continuation of trial.
