ASUU IBBU Chapter Gives Niger State Government 7 Day Ultimatum

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU, Ibrahim Badamasi Babagida University,IBBU Lapai  has given the Niger state Government a seven-day ultimatum to address it’s pending demands before it.

In a statement issued after its congress in Lapai, the Union accuses the state government of handling issues affecting the funding of the institution with levity.

The Union is among other things demanding the immediate payment of its Earned Academic Allowance being owed members since two thousand and nine.

It is also not comfortable with the poor working condition in the University as a result of lack of power supply, poor water system and inadequate manpower.

The statement signed by the union Chairman and secretary, Comrades Lawal Salahu and Abdul Mohammed, states that industrial harmony will not be guaranteed if nothing is done by the end of work on the 6th day of March.
