Nigerians have been urged to relinquish negative attitudes that are inhibiting the growth of the country.
The Acting Director of National Orientation Agency, Kogi State directorate Mallam Mohammed Abdullahi gave the advice at a programme tagged building a people of peace organized by the agency in Lokoja.
Mallam Abdullahi said the challenges confronting Nigeria were not just that of Social, Political, and Economy but attitudinal.
He expressed concern over the attitude of most Nigerians who do not obey the laws of the land and leaders who no longer consider leadership by example as important expect of governance.
Mallam Mohammed Abdullahi Advised religious leaders to preach love good neighbourliness and tolerance as enshrine in the holy books and avoid the use of hate languages for peace to reign supreme.
The Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello, represented by the Director General, Bureau of information grassroots mobilization and sensitization in the state, Alhaji Abdulmalik Abdulkreem called on Nigerians to ensure a holistic change in the manner and ways things were done to entrench sustainable peace in the country.
