The National Assembly passed the 2017 appropriation bill after raising the budget from 7.28 trillion Naira earlier proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari in December 2016 to 7.443 trillion Naira.
However the nation is still eagerly waiting for the take off of the 2017 budget half way into the year.
What could be responsible for the huge delay? Is there a communication gap between the National Assembly and the Executive arms of government when it comes to financial appropriation?
A lot of questions are on the lips of Nigerians.
