Federal High Court Grants Former NNPC GMD Bail

The Federal High court in Abuja has granted the former Group Managing director of NNPC Andrew Yakubu bail in the sum of N300m and two sureties in like sum.

Kapital FM correspondent Jibrin Jibrin reports that in a ruling Justice Ahmed Mohammed ordered that one of the sureties must be an owner of a property in Abuja while the other surety must be a resident in the Federal Capital Territory which shall be verified by the registrar of the court.

Justice Mohammed also ordered that the defendant shall remain in kuje prison pending the perfection of his bail conditions.

Mr Yakubu was arraigned last Thursday by the EFCC on a 6 count charge on money laundering and falsification of Assets
