#2019Polls: Plateau Gubernatorial Candidates Agree On Peace Pact

Gubernatorial candidates for the 2019 elections in Plateau have unanimously agreed that the unity of the state supersedes their Political aspirations.
The candidates who made their position known during the Plateau Gubernatorial debate also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, to conduct a free, fair and credible election that will be acceptable to all.
Those in attendance were Mr Samuel Danauta of All Blending Party, rtd General Jon Temlong of the Action Democratic party and Alex of Alliance for New Nigeria.
Others are Simon Lalong of the All Progressive Congress and Godfrey Miri of the Social Democratic Party.
PDP candidate Rtd General Jeremiah Useni was absent .
They spoke on areas of security, education, health, drug abuse, sanitation and agriculture among others.
Convener of the Plateau Debate group and organiser of the event, Dr Daniel Menshak says the event was aimed at adding value to Governance, deepening the Democratic values of Plateau state and holding the candidates to their electoral promises.
Meanwhile, the chairman, media and publicity of the PDP state campaign Council Mr Abraham Yiljab, in a statement said the absence of its candidate was due to unforseen developments.
